The OpenDNS content filtering system provides a constantly updated reference for potentially unsafe sites including adult, phishing and identity theft web sites. It enables WiFiShield to block access to these sites and ensures that connected devices are protected automatically without having to install regular updates to the device or to WiFiShield. 

 

In addition to blocking adult content, FamilyShield also blocks proxies and anonymizers, which are how enterprising/tech-savvy kids often get around parental blocks.
